This February, students were invited to explore the theme of ‘conflict’ for the Never Such Innocence online poetry competition. Year 11 student Aiza shared a beautiful and thought-provoking poem exploring topics of oppression, inequality, discrimination and loss. Aiza’s poem ‘A Shamed Nation’ evokes a plethora of emotions and invites readers to ask the ultimate question “can we call ourselves people?” You can read Aiza’s poem on display in the KS3 Library.
