As part of our Artsmark programme, yesterday we had a special collaboration with Park Hill Junior School. Eight of our year 12 Creative Ambassadors took part in a special workshop to mark the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. Year 6 were off timetable to work with us exploring printmaking creating portraits of the Queen.
It was a day filled with lots of energy and creativity, with our Ambassadors leading demonstrations, explaining techniques and support the 90 students to learn a new technique.
If you see any of the students, please do congratulate them. They were a credit to the school and themselves.
The work produced in the workshop will be displayed within a public exhibition at Barkingside and Ilford library next month.
Best wishes, Ms Carlton
