If you didn’t buy a cake today then you really missed out! Students and a few staff members made a plethora of beautiful cakes, cookies and truffles to sell and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We at the Beacon Academy Trust are aware that keeping our children hydrated will aid them to perform at their very best throughout the school day.
Through our contributions to The Africa Trust, an ‘Elephant Pump’ is being installed in Africa on our behalf.
The school took six of our RE Ambassadors to Redbridge Barnardo’s Leaving Care. They helped them sort out their food, cupboards, clothes and kitchen items. The students were incredible ambassadors for the school and the Barnardo’s commented on how wonderful they were in their manners and dedication.

The money raised means that Children in Need can continue to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK, so that they can live safe, happy lives and have the chance to reach their potential.
In the summer term, we would also like to get KS3 students involved in a Readathon. This raises money for children who are in hospitals across the UK, and allows them to gain access to brand new books for their enjoyment.
The Guide Dogs charity provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people. They also campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment, educate the public about eye care and fund eye disease research.
